Screenprinting

The majority of the goods printed at S&S Textiles are made using classic screen printing, so you can trust we’ve perfected the process!

Our printers create a stencil known as a screen for each design and use it to apply layers of ink directly onto the product. Colors are printed one at a time with its own screen allowing the full design to come to life.

Plastisol Ink

Plastisol ink is the industry standard screen printing ink made of resin and plasticizer, known for its high durability, brilliant opacity, and vibrant colors. Unlike water-based inks, it does not dry on the screen, it cures only with high heat. The ink sits on top of the fabrics rather than soaking in, making it ideal for any garment.

Simulated Process

Simulated Process screen printing is a printing technique creating detailed, multi color designs on fabric. It uses a combination of halftones and spot colors to achieve photographic quality. The process involves using a limited number of colors with halftones to create a wide range of hues for an image that had multiple colors.

Specialty Ink

Specialty “Puff” inks are designed to add a 3D like texture to the garment. Unlike plastisol ink, the magic lies in a heat activated blowing agent that is added to the ink for it to rise, creating a foam like state.

Metallic gold and silver ink are premium pre-mixed inks containing very fine glitter-like particles to create a reflective, shimmering finish. They are the go-to choice when you want a design to look like real gold, silver, or bronze without the mirror-like application of foil.

Specialty inks involve unique production requirements; therefore, pricing, minimum order quantities, and design suitability are subject to change based on your specific garment and quality of artwork.
